<silence> Good morning, Tulsa lawn care community. Kevin here with kicking grass and taking names. Lawn care home of the final for a mow. Folks, how are we doing out there today? I hope we are doing wonderful and lovely and enjoying and the beautiful Saturday morning that, uh, God has created for us. So, uh, God said, Hey, all you folks out there experiencing August and our beautiful August eats since you didn’t want water, we’re gonna water for you. Water is so important to a vibrant life in, in, in all aspects. It doesn’t matter if you’re human, plant, animal, whatever it is, water is the substance of life. Uh, we are made up of roughly 70% of water, give or take. Uh, it depends on the sciences you ask and the argument you want to have. So having said all that, water is essential, um, and the mere fact that people are oblivious and, oh, I don’t understand, and dah, dah, dah, dah, it’s, it’s just, come on.
People think, think, think, think, think, think. We’ve had a lot of rain this, uh, past summer, um, here in green country. And you, you wonder why all of a sudden your grass is growing. Well, my grass doesn’t normally grow like this. What’s going on? You know what, it got water, it got sunlight and it got wind. That’s what it needs to grow. Like, you just like flat out it’s common sense. So it doesn’t matter. Uh, and the other thing is, this is what I love is people think they have grass and they, they don’t, majority of people, uh, what I experienced do not have grass. They have weeds. Um, and they don’t understand the difference between grass and weeds. Grass. If you have actual genuine grass, I mean, it does, it, it, you can literally go two weeks. It’s gonna look like a, it’s been a week, uh, compared to a weed, a weed yard.
And it’s, and you can mow it and it’s gonna come out fine. It’s gonna come out lovely. It’s great. It’s, it’s, it’s, it’s nice. It’s good. Like regular Bermuda grass, it does not grow mad. If you have a lot of weeds within your Bermuda, you’ll mow it on one day and within two or three days, it’s gonna be looking like it needs to be mowed. Tulsa lawn care community, you just gotta understand how it works. Weeds grow so super fast, like exponentially faster than grass. And so when you allow your grass to be overtaken by weeds and you do nothing about it, that’s what you end up with. And it’s, it’s, and what it amazes me is it does not take that much effort to, uh, to take care of your yard. ’cause one you can call, kick your to take a name to lawn care at 9 1 8 8 7 2 0 3 3 8 and allow us to take care of it for you. So, I mean, you wanna talk about no effort. I mean, that’s it right there. And then two, if you only knew that you could touch your yard as far as like nutrients and things
Like that go like four times a year, okay? Springtime twice during the summer, and once the fall, like that is literally all you’d have to do. And you would eliminate almost majority of your yard work. Um, and what I say by that, and what I mean by that is, so by doing that, you, you put good things down and you make it grow and you make sure the bad stuff stay away, right? So no weeds, no pess, nothing like that. On top of that, then that means if you’ve got just grass actually growing, you don’t have to go out every week in mow your yard, okay? You can mow it every two weeks ’cause the growth will be so minimal and if you grow up, especially if you mow at the right height. That’s the other thing that I love, uh, Tulsa lawn care community is people’s grass is taken off their weeds, all this stuff, all this garbage, and they’re just like, Ugh.
Oh my gosh, can you lower it? It is just out of control. I can, you’re absolutely right, I can. Two things might happen though. Well, two things. One thing for sure will happen. One, the grass will hurry up and grow right back. And what I mean by that is it’s, it, in my experience, grass has an optimal height and it wants to hurry up and get back to that grass or get to that height. So the lower you keep it, unless it’s that type of grass, if you have regular Bermuda, is what I’m talking about, the lower you keep it, the quicker it grows back. Um, and then two, if you maintain that throughout the year and keep doing it year after year, sooner or later, your grass will just give up and die and you won’t have grass there anymore. Um, Bermuda is very resilient in the essence of, it takes over bare spots when given the opportunity, but when constantly scalped over and over and over again, Bermuda just gives up and leaves, and then you’re left with nothing dirt but dirt, and you’re like, Hey, what did you do to my lawn?
And it’s like, oh, we didn’t do anything. We did what you wanted and we told you in the beginning this would not be a good idea or end. Well, does it mean it’s gonna happen? No. Could it happen? Yes. Will it happen eventually?
So it’s up to you. Um, and I know some people, I’m the expert on my lawn. That’s fine. You are. I’m not saying you’re not, you should be, you by all means, should know your yard. But that, that is truly what’s gonna happen. And then you also gotta realize, you know, when you get the right amount of heat and the right amount of water, that stuff is gonna grow no matter what. Okay? Um, and it’s gonna take off. It’s gonna grow. It doesn’t matter what you cut it at. So, but on a personal note, I mow my yard about once a month at the highest setting.
That’s it. Uh, I don’t have a lot of clippings, I don’t have a lot of growth. I don’t have a lot of, uh, anything to be honest with you. I have grass. Um, but ID yeah, we mow it about once a month. Um, now there’s a strip on the north side of our lawn that we have to mow probably two, three times a month. Uh, and that’s because, you know, it’s connected to the neighbor’s yard and they have bad grass and it’s, you know, I’ve sprayed it, I’ve done everything I can for it, but it, it’s bad grass. So end of story on that. Um, it’s the yucky crab grass. It stinks and smells and all that. So, Tulsa lawn care community, you know, my experience when you take care of your lawn, and since I take care of everyone else’s, I literally mow my yard once a month during summertime.
So you’re, I’m talking about six, seven mows a year. Okay? And then I go out there in the spring, I put down the pest control, I put down the emergence, I spray it, I spray it again in the, in the summer, put down some more, uh, fertilizer, um, towards the end of summer, more pest control, uh, more fertilizer, spray it again. So seven IIII take care of my, my own personal lawn 11 times throughout the year. And you got some people who are out there mowing an odd ungodful amount of times. Good. Wonderful. So happy for you. Okay? I mean, that’s the secret. 11 times I’m outside of my yard. That’s it. Okay? I let the grass grow wild. It’s crazy. And when I do that like that, it, it’ll get probably six, seven inches, then I’ll chop back down about four, four and a half, five inches and just leave it at that.
And then it just, it just chills there for a while. Happy. Doesn’t, doesn’t get upset. Nope. Doesn’t grow wild. Now, before when I would have a ton of, um, weeds and stuff, oh yeah, that, that stuff would get outta control quick. And I had to go and go through and had to have to mow it like every week. And otherwise I’d, I’d lose my dogs, I’d lose everything in that yard. It was horrible. So, Tulsa lawn care community, having grass and knowing how to take care of it, and then having grass and not knowing how to take care of it, are two very different worlds. So welcome to the world of knowledge. Welcome to the world of, hey, this is what we want to do to take care of our stuff. And I hope everyone understands that, you know, there’s a reason why you, you call, and there is a reason why you have people come in and take care of all your stuff and do all these things for you, is ’cause of the experience and knowledge that they have. And without those experience and knowledges that you’re just a lost person out there in the weeds, so to speak, pun intended. So Tulsa lawn care community, having us come out, take care of all your headaches, distractions, whatever you want to call it, uh, is naturally priceless. Uh, we come with a vast amount of knowledge. Um, and, and, and again, I reiterate, mowing lawns is an unskilled labor. I get that. No one said you have to have skill to mow lawns.
Uh, where the skill comes in is being efficient at it. Where the skill comes in is knowing how to handle or cut certain ways. When you see the, the, the topography of the, of the yard change and not that way, you don’t scalp it and stuff like that. That’s where the skills come in. But at the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter because most people don’t care about their ground. Uh, it doesn’t matter who they are, uh, whether they’re super wealthy and they spend $10,000 a summer on yard work, or whether they’re super poor, and they, they’re, they try to convince somebody to come out and mow their yard once a month and only pay somebody four times to come and mow their yard, uh, that are massively overgrown with weeds. So again, it, it really doesn’t matter. Um, uh, you know, so the skill, it does take some skill and experience to mow a yard that looks nice.
It doesn’t take skill and, uh, knowledge or anything to just mow a yard. Uh, you can go out there, you can battle it and be out there all day and stuff like that. Um, I’m not here to change your mind or make you come believe differently that, uh, people who mow need to have skill or anything like that. Um, being the one in it, being the one doing it, we know the, the real stuff to it. So it’s okay. Um, just like whatever your profession is, I’m sure you see the secret in it and the, the value and all that, uh, where, you know, other people won’t. They just look at it like, well, that’s a stupid profe profession to do or even try to seek after, just like they do say that about mowers. So anyway, um, I digress. Uh, so having the knowledge and, and knowing how to handle your yard and things like that is, is super, super great.
Uh, again, a nice looking yard. You’re out there 11 times. Now if you want a super great yard, like some of these retirees have and stuff, they’re out there every day picking weeds and manicure and all that, that’s different. That’s fine, you can do that too. But if you want a yard that it does look like, um, it’s a competitor for Yard of the Week and, and stuff like that, I mean, having the knowledge and knowing that you only had to touch your yard 11 times compared to some of these other people, I mean, it’s, it’s absolutely wonderful. Uh, there’s nothing else that we can do that’s better, um, than coming out there. Putting minimal hands on your yard, minimal, uh, stress, uh, just letting your yard do what your yard needs to do and be happy. It’s, it’s gonna be a great yard. You’re gonna have a, a very happy life with something like that. And we want you guys to know that hey, kicking grass, snake names, lawn care is, is here for you. Uh, we’re gonna get it done for you.
