<silence> Good morning, Tulsa Long care community. Kevin here, kicking grass to taking names. Long care home with a $5 first. Mow, I am doing wonderful on this beautiful August, Saturday morning where we have a wonderful, uh, breeze. A you know, good weather, good temp, uh, heat is not gonna be an issue today. Um, short, easy day. We’re hoping. So, yeah. Anyway, let’s talk about lawns ’cause that’s what we’re here for. Uh, we have a lot of experience with lawns. We’re as some people who like to Google or just know their lawn, have their experience, which is fine. Um, and, you know, you should know your lawn better, dips curves, whatever, all that fun and weird and all that good stuff. However, overall, generally speaking, we have, um, the main idea covered as far as how long lawn should be mowed and treated and things like that.
Um, and, you know, depending on how your lawn is faced and, and what’s going on with it and what you have being done and all these different things, for the most part, we can sum up a lawn within, you know, the first or second mow of it. And what I mean by sum it up is we can figure out how it needs to be treated and cut and things like that. Um, you know, if you’re getting a lot of sunlight, things like that, we can see, you know, and the other thing is that since we mow it on the regular kick, your grass is taking names, long care home at the $5 first, mow, uh, then we’re the ones who kind of see the changes in it. And it, it comes out to a really good, uh, methodology that we use since we’re not the ones who are constantly there and looking at it.
Um, and we’re seeing different variations and coming back and, you know, we had our eyes somewhere else and now we’re coming back and seeing our eyes on what we have going on there then. And, and the other, other beautiful thing about it, we take pictures. We take, we take pictures of everyone’s lawns, just so you know, uh, Tulsa Lawn care community. Your, your lawn is being photographed for several reasons. Uh, uh, our main reasons are customers who are like, oh, it was never like this before, blah, blah, blah, blah. This happened since you took over. I can pull up pictures and be like, oh, okay, cool. Well, you know, my first day on your lawn, this is what it looked like, or this whatever was already there, or bolts po or whatever else they have claim to fame of whatnot. So not a big deal, uh, anyway.
So just know, hiring King Grass, second names Lawn Care home of the $5 first Mow that you are going to get, uh, for photography of your lawn, um, whether you want it or not. And if you don’t want it, cool. You don’t want us, we have our policies that we like to follow. And if you’re not willing to allow us, us to do our jobs that we have set in place for us and our standards and we have set in place for us to do and stuff, then that is absolutely fine. You have that right? Uh, just like we have the right of not to provide service. So, uh, I I, oh, how dare you. I, I do want business. I absolutely do. But I wanna work with people who understand that, hey, you know what, I, I, I need to have documentation showing what one, what we’ve done, two, what it looked like beforehand, and, and stuff like that just to keep, uh, everything on the up and up.
Not saying that you’re, you’re not somebody on the up and up is just, things happen and people are adamant about they, how they, uh, know their lawn is and or was and, uh, refuse to accept some realities. So just like when customers ask, Hey, can you mow it even shorter? Okay, cool. Now that you mowed that short, can you go even shorter? You bet I will go, I will do whatever you want. Just keep in mind, the shorter I go, the, the more likely it is that you will ruin your grass. It will start to disappear and you won’t have any left. Okay? And if that is your goal, awesome, great, wonderful. We’ll achieve it. And if it’s not your goal, then sit back, relax. Don’t think about your lawn, look at it and be like, oh, that’s wonderful. And Tulsa lawn care community. If you wonder why your grass keeps growing so vigorously, it’s because it rains the sun’s out and the wind’s blowing.
And when it does that, it grows. ’cause those are the three key ingredients needed to grow grass. And when I say key ingredients like that is exactly what you need to grow grass, a little bit of dampness, a whole lot of sun and some wind, okay? That is absolutely the precursor, the perfect storm, if you will, to growing grass. And here’s the kicker. If your lawn is full of weeds, I know some people are like, no, this is grass. I get it. It is, uh, it sure it’s grass, but if your lawn is full of weeds, it’s gonna grow exponentially faster. And then the other thing is, if you’re a biweekly person, well, it’s just a lawn. You can, you can cut it and make it look good in every two weeks. We can cut it and we can make it look good. Um, and it’s gonna be expensive.
No, no, no, you can do it cheap. Okay, cool. We can do it cheap and we can cut it, but it ain’t gonna look good. And the, the problem is most customers don’t understand that process. Majority of customers are like, oh, no, no, no, no, this is grass. This is nothing. You, people should be able to take care of it. Like, like I just said, it’s nothing cool. Awesome. I get it. Uh, but you didn’t go out there and try to mow your lawn with your Walmart mower. Okay? But you want me to go out there with my commercial mower after three weeks of growth overgrowth. You don’t understand. Mother nature wins. Mother nature will always win Tulsa Lawn Care community. No matter how hard you try, no matter what you do, no matter what’s going on in, in Mother Nature, okay? Mother nature wins.
End of discussion. Just, just flat out, sorry. Um, I wish, wish we could change it for you. Uh, I wish your little, you know, $200, a hundred dollars mower would just plow through. Like it’s this massive giant thing. But it doesn’t matter. I mean, if you look at the size of some of the things that, that they have created by man to help move the earth and the expense that it goes into and, and the power that it takes, and you realize that on some level, just to keep a, a pity little lawn, you need these mighty powerful machines, uh, of mowers to keep a lawn maintained weekly. Now, when you go past that, that’s when you’re really, I mean, why do you think they show up with giant, massive tractors for the side of the road to mow lawns if they haven’t mowed in like a month and a half?
You think they do that because, oh, hey, this is cool. Or do you think they do that? Because like, well, this is gonna take a lot. Oh, and by the way, most of the time, you know what they cut the grass with when it’s that high, massive chains are flinging underneath the, uh, the, the, the decks of those things. So Tulsa lawn care community, I, I, I understand you perceive you know what you’re doing. I understand you believe this is how it is done and why it’s done and whatever else you can think of. But the reality and the fact of the matter is mother nature will always win. You need a lot of power just to maintain a little bit of something, okay? And the more you let Mother Nature go, the more tool, the more power, the more strength you’re going to need to get it back under control, okay?
We will not allow that to happen under our watch at kicking, congrats to taking a’s lawn care home with a $5 first bow. All you need to do is say, Hey, I want a nice looking lawn, and we’re gonna be out there weekly. We’re gonna be out there making sure it looks good. Uh, we, we use, uh, mowers that have, that are quote unquote, um, they have their mulch plates on. So we’re not dispersing grass all over the place. We’re not just, you know, throwing things around left and right. Okay? We, we are taking care of your lawn, okay? Because at the end of the day, we’re not gardeners and we don’t want have to put up with all that stuff. We’re not gonna come out and, and, and do that. Uh, especially for people who have massive ones. Uh, you’re on your own on that.
Uh, we don’t want to, you know, take that away from you. You enjoy that big stuff. So awesome. That’s gonna be all yours. Toast, lawn care, community grass is our friend and we need to treat it as such, okay? When grass grows, that’s when you need us. Alright? I’m sure some of you have spent all summer enjoying little Bobby mow your lawn, which I hope he has done a great job or good enough. I mean, you’re only paying him 20 bucks and that’s all he wanted. He just wanted to get a little bit of cash for his beer and, and weed. And then he wants to go back to school and act like he’s, he’s Mr. Big entrepreneur. That’s great. That’s wonderful. Uh, I am neither him, nor do I charge that little, uh, I am here for you to forget about your lawn. I’m here for you to forget about the troubles that it can cause.
Uh, I’m here for you to forget that. You need to call the guy and say, Hey, where are you? Why haven’t you mowed my lawn? Uh, because I will text you. I will show up and I will be there to take care of said lawn. Okay? Uh, obviously I’ve never realized this. So I find this a wonderful epiphany is August has always been one of my biggest months for new, new clients. This is actually the first year where I haven’t picked up, uh, a bunch. And the reason why is I had so many in the beginning, uh, which is wonderful, don’t get me wrong. I’m absolutely grateful for that. Uh, very, very, very grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Uh, but I didn’t need to pick up a bunch. Lemme rephrase that. I didn’t need to pick up a bunch, uh, in August and a bunch of new ones because I was, I was, uh, a little more active in the beginning, okay?
What someone said to me is, because all the young kids go back to school, and I’m like, oh, wow, you’re right. And the time, because I had a couple college kids tell me this year, and the timing was spot on. Those college kids, they come in, they act like they’re, they’re, they’re there to for the long haul and they’re taking care of everything, and they’re going on about their day. And then bam, that week comes moving and they are done. They throw their equipment away, or they park it and they go, um, about their life and they forget all about their customers. And you thought you were getting a heck of a deal with your lawn and all that. And then you reach out and you’re finding guys are charging 60, 70, $80 a cut for these small city lots. And you’re like, but my guy was doing it.
Yeah, but where’s your guy now? You weren’t paying him enough to stick around. He, he found a better reason to, oh no, you’re just too expensive. You know, I’ll just find, and you keep going down the list. So what you don’t get is either you can call, get, get our quote and move on, or you can spend your time calling around trying to find guys to come in for 30 or 40 bucks, okay? No matter what it’s gonna cost you, it’s either gonna cost you time or it’s gonna cost you money, okay? And you need to figure out which one’s more important to you. And if money’s more important to you, then you don’t understand the most valuable
Commodity in the world. And that’s okay. It will always be time. And while I say that, I don’t respect my own time. So having said that, we’re charging more next year. I hope you understand. We want to spend time with our loved ones too. We want to take care of your grass because it’s fun and we have great equipment and we do a great job. And we know our value and we will see you out there. Whether or not we’re taking care of your lawn, I don’t know, but green country, we’re gonna be out there. We’re gonna be mowing, and we’re gonna be looking great. We’ll see you out there, mow you next time.
