Good morning, Tulsa Long care community. Kevin here with Kicking Grass and taking names. Long Care Home of the $5 First Mow folks, I hope you’re doing great out there today. It is, uh, it is staying pretty warm out here in Green Country. Uh, very surprising, very, very interesting. Uh, luckily the, the Bermuda actually finally turned dormant. Uh, it was literally like almost overnight. Um, I, I don’t know why or how or what happened, but I mean, like, it was growing pretty, pretty heavily, uh, up until late October, which is, uh, you know, kind of rare out here. ’cause sometimes we get washed out mid-October and no heat, so the ground stays pretty soft. So mowing ends pretty, pretty, uh, abruptly, if you will. Um, but yeah, now we’re getting ready to move into leaf season. We’ve put up a few Christmas lights. Uh, we’ve done a really, uh, really good job for, for our small operation.
Um, so something we’re proud of, something we’re excited about. We’ve done, uh, a great job. Um, you know, our, some of our clients have really helped, stepped in and helped us out. And what I mean by that is they desire to have Christmas lights. So for me that’s, that’s a huge win. Um, really getting into it and helping them and, and providing them with a great quality service. Uh, making those homes look festive, uh, and just really bringing that feeling of Christmas to them. Uh, we provide all the colors that you can think of, Tulsa Lawn care community. Um, you know, we provide, uh, tons and tons of, uh, different, uh, combinations and patterns and whatever it is pretty much you can think of. We’ve even looked up a few and come up with some of our own ideas of like, mountains with snow on them and all sorts of kind of different things.
And so, uh, it’s really cool, really fun. Um, it’s nice to have a little play with your, uh, with your Christmas lights and not just be a traditional multicolor or all red and white or something like that, which there is nothing wrong with those. It’s just, it’s just fun to see the creativity of people out there in the world and the different patterns and color combinations and things like that they come up with. It’s also really cool to see all the different things, uh, available out there in the, uh, Christmas world and stuff. So, uh, EE either way, we’re still providing those, uh, essential lawn care services. We are still out here, um, picking up leaves, uh, mowing down some final, uh, fescue mows and different things like that. Uh, don’t be thinking that all that is over with. Uh, fescue might still grow for another week or two, um, just to, uh, kind of help pick that up and, and do do that kind of stuff.
Uh, and also if you have fescue, you really need to, uh, get those leaves removed and off of them. Uh, you don’t want to have those leaves covering up your fescue. Uh, fescue is a very high maintenance grass. Uh, and what I mean by that is, you know, if not every year, at least every two years, you need to provide an aeration and over seeding for it. Uh, so it can grow back in nice and thick. Uh, it is not a grass that you can just leave such as Bermuda. Uh, Bermuda will always come back and, uh, find a way to become resilient and take over. Its, its spot in its spacing. So if you’re there, if you’re an area that gets leaves, and the reason why I say that is a lot of my clients that I’ve gone to pick up leaves for, man, they don’t even have a tree in their yard, but they, they’re down the street from a, from a little, uh, green belt or something like that, and they just, they just get covered in leaves.
So we go in there to take care of their, their leaves and, and, you know, give them a foremost, you know, they, they always end up being the ones that have that fescue that needs to be, uh, taken care of on a, on a regular basis. So, Tulsa lawn care community, uh, don’t be shy about still reaching out. Don’t feel weird about still reaching out and getting your lawn mowed and stuff like that. ’cause we are definitely still doing these, uh, services, providing services, getting things done, uh, getting things in check for our customers definitely are, uh, making lawns look nice and trimmed up. Um, and like I said, you know, Bermuda, it’s just now finally going dormant, so maybe it needs another, another mow or something. Uh, even if you’re fertilized weed control, uh, post margin, things like that, and it’s under control. I mean, it, Bermuda grows.
It, it, it does, uh, so it, it, it’s gonna grow. It’s gonna grow during winter, um, until it’s all brown. You know, once it’s all brown, then it’s, it’s kind of done mowing, and you just kind of leave it alone and let it do, its, let, let it do its thing. Otherwise you’ll just, uh, blow, you know, blow it away basically. And it’ll be all be be gone and you won’t have any grass left then. But anyway. Uh, so the one thing that does hurt Bermuda are those leaves. Uh, those leaves get down. They stay down, and they don’t move, uh, quite as easily as one might think. Uh, yeah, the wind may come through and blow, but, uh, not as well as you’re hoping, or, or, or something like that. Or, or, or you got that one possible corner that just collects all the leaves in, in the neighborhood and just piles up there and they never leave.
So, uh, if that’s the case, uh, you, you definitely need to reach out to us. Definitely let us know how we can provide that service of, uh, cleanup for you. Um, get these leaves taken care of, get your area looking nice. Uh, so many different things happen when you have those leaves in there. Um, and we just don’t need to experience that at this time. Okay? What I’m, and what I’m really trying to hammer, hone on that is, is, you know, we don’t need to add or allow critters to have a spot to hang out. Chill. No. You know, it’s like once you give them that location, then they fight to stay there, okay? And ’cause, you know, there’s like, oh, this is my land. And you know how that goes. Uh, especially if, uh, you know, you’re a little red, white, blue man, uh, meaning, uh, you know, Hey, this is our land, you’re not gonna take it.
You know, that’s how we are, right? And so I think our animals have adopted that attitude, very American of them. Wonderful. Good for them. Just, uh, let’s not allow them to have that opportunity and make sure we get it all cleaned up. Uh, just, you know, there’s just several, several benefits to cleaning all that stuff up. You’re not, you don’t look at your yard as disgusting. Uh, you don’t look at your yard as just a horrible place to experience, okay? Um, you, you feel better about your yard. I’m telling you, come home, you have a clean yard that’s tidy and it gives you a, a boost of energy, uh, to get things done on the inside of your home.
It’s, you know, you’re like, oh, whatever. You’re just crazy. You know, maybe I am, you know, maybe I’m not. Uh, but look at all those homes that are clean on the outside and the type of people that are on the inside. And of course, you’re already been molest is that person. They’re just a go-getter, da da da duh. Okay, sure. But one small habit leads to the next, and then the next habit, and then the next habit, and next thing you know, you’re not your habit of not only cleaning the outside, now you’re cleaning the inside, and all these little habits lead up to behaviors. And now you’re a person that constantly cleans their property up and constantly cleans their house up. What else can you clean up in your life that you’re thinking about? So, uh, these habits build behaviors. These behaviors build, uh, expectations, okay?
