Good morning, Tulsa Lawn Care community. Kevin here with Kicking Grass and taking names Lawn Care home with a $5 first. Mow, how are you guys doing today? I hope you guys are doing great. It is a beautiful, uh, August, Saturday. It’s gonna be a great day today. Uh, weather’s gonna be great. Um, it’s been a crazy week. Uh, we had some rain in August, which is rare here in Oklahoma, and we’ve also had, uh, some really, really cool temperatures. Uh, so that might actually kinda kick off your cool temp grasses, uh, around here. That’s pretty much scu. That’s it. Um, unless you’re just some strange odd guy out that has just the weirdest, uh, type of grass or something. But, um, most of your grasses in Oklahoma are gonna be Bermuda or Fescue, um, or Zoya. And then, uh, either way, uh, you know, the cool grass is gonna be the fescue.
That’s the only one that’s gonna probably take off over the next week or so, or has already begun, uh, uh, August in Oklahoma. Most people have, don’t, don’t water whatsoever, in my experience. Um, they look at you like, why would you water your lawn? Because, you know, we sent out friendly reminders and helpful hints and pro tips and things like that to our beautiful customers here in Green Country. And you know, they just look at you like you’re the stupidest person in the world. Like, why would you put water on grass? And it’s like, well, you know, to make it grow, make it healthy, make it look nice. I mean, you are hiring somebody to make it look good. Um, and then, you know, the best part is, is always, you know, in August they’re like, oh, all right, summer’s over. We’re done mowing. Okay.
And then they call me back, like literally back October, November, oh, hey, I don’t know what happened. My grass just, it kept growing or something. It’s so weird. Anyway, it’s like three feet tall, can you come mow it? And of course now comes, were you a client worth it? Meaning Tulsa Lawn Care community? Were you a weekly client that I liked all key words in my decision making. If you were not any of those, not, you know, not one or the other, but if you’re not any of those, yeah, the answer’s, no. Sorry, you had already told me your season ended. Go find somebody else. Okay. That’s, that’s right. That’s it. That’s it. Straight up. Simple. Uh, sorry about your luck. Oh, you, you don’t want clients? No, no, I do. Oh, it’s, it’s funny about that. I, we do have clients, uh, we have clients that are like, Hey, cool, you take care of my lawn.
Thanks. And they don’t think about it. Again, those are my clients. Uh, that’s my, that’s the type of customer I’m looking for. Uh, unfortunately we do have to sift through people. ’cause what I’ve also learned is you never know where those customers are. Uh, you would think, oh no, all those customers are in $300,000 homes. Or Well, I say three. No, all those customers are a million dollar homes. No, no. Trust me, they are not. They are not. They, it, it could be a hundred thousand dollars home, it could be $300,000 home. And they’ll be a customer that, that wants you to maintain it for as long as it needs it. And they’re out there with fertilizer and sprays and, and all that. Or, or they ask me to do it or they ask that, recommend somebody or something. So it’s, yeah, it is there, it is definitely good.
Okay. Anyway, having said all that, the grass is gonna grow. Alright? Grass is gonna be, uh, pretty high. Uh, it’s gonna be healthy. It’s got a lot of, it’s got, it’s got a late drink in the year. It’s gonna go deep. We’re hoping, we never know. Uh, fall may happen super fast and just be like, yeah, we’re done with heat. Um, at least for this next week, it should be nice, good weather. Tulsa lawn care community expect us to come out and be flying through your lawns. And I don’t mean, because, you know, we’re just gonna run through it and not make it look good or anything like that. I just mean, because, uh, the growth might be minimal. And, uh, for those biweeklies out there going, oh yeah, I can just tell ’em to skip and I only have to do it once a month.
Or not even this month. Yeah, well, that’s the case. Cool, then I’ll skip you all together. Uh, ’cause I don’t need that in my life. I need people who are like, yeah, take care of me. Okay? And, uh, that’s just how it is. You know, you do this long enough, you start to sniff out those, um, those types of people and those types of people you just gotta of ignore and, and kind of move on from. Uh, and I understand everyone goes through different stages in their life, and some people are like, oh man, I’m in a broke stage and I just don’t want to do it. You know that, that’s fine and dandy. Uh, and I go through stages in my life too, where, oh man, I don’t think I’m worth anything. I’ll mow your lawn for nothing. Oh, I have to grab everybody to the point of, oh, hey, wait, I have some value.
Hey, my time matters too. Okay? Yeah, that’s right. My time matters just as much as your time. So I’m going to go ahead and tell you no and move on. Uh, why? Because I, I shouldn’t have to deal with that. And I’m sorry that you’re in your, that predicament of your life. Uh, I hope everything works out for you and, uh, you to a better location. The reason why I say that is I’ve had several customers that to me, were a couple years ago, were nothing customers. And what I mean by that is they were payings. They’d be, oh, can you just gimme this week, you, and all these little favors and different things and whatnot. And at the time I was like, all right, I need the work. So I’ll, you know, we’ll, that’s fine. We’ll skip, we’ll do whatever so I can make sure they return and all that.
Well, years later they reached back out, Hey man, you did such a great job with me. Can you, uh, can you go ahead and take over my lawn? And all of a sudden it’s like, yeah, I want weekly and I want this, I want that, da da da da da. Like all the time. And I’m like, okay, it’s gonna cost this much thinking up. That’s it. That was a great relationship. We’re, we’re over. Sounds great. Let’s go. What? Okay, cool, cool. Now, now I gotta bring my end game, you know, ’cause I, I’ll, you know, hey, they’re, they’re willing to put some cash forward and they start taking care of the lawn. I
Gotta, I gotta make sure we’re doing that. So toast the
Lawn care community. Uh, I will provide
You with great service. I will
Be there, show you
Just like any,
Any customer. Uh, but if you continue to blow me off, I, hey, I, I get it. You know, but the main thing is how, how
Much of a pain in the butt was your lawn?
If your lawn is a huge pain in the butt, you’re right. I’m, I’m gonna ghost
You. I’m not gonna talk to you, I’m not gonna return your calls. I’m not gonna anything,
Especially after you told me to kick rocks. Uh,
That’s, that’s gonna be a
Huge, yeah, I’m good. No, no, I’m good. I don’t need to come back to that. Okay? Um, but things change. And, uh, you
Know, and, and, and you also gotta, you know, look at your common denominator. You can, you
Know, people
Can constantly sit there and
Say, ah, lawn crews and
Lawn guys and all that, they’re horrible people. They never return your calls. They never show up. They, they quit after
So many weeks. Or well, you, you could sit there and say, okay, all these extremely different lawn crew people keep blowing me off, off. I wonder why. I mean, the
Only common denominator is your
Lawn and what you’re willing to pay. Um, so the fact that you’re using so many different lawn crews and
The fact that you’re going through
So many different lawn crews and
The fact that you’re having trouble with the people returning and all that stuff,
The only common denominator is you. Okay? So do you bother them
Too much? Do you grab about your lawn too much? Are you too
Particular about your lawn? Uh, do you think just because
You pay somebody
A few bucks, that it gives you the right to, uh, be meticulous about your lawn and
Expect the greatest things in the world and all these wonderful and horrible and whatever other God awful stuff you have going on.
Uh, do you think that that suffices? No,
You don’t go to McDonald’s and expect a filet mignon.
So why would you, you know, have a lawn crew who’s, who’s out there to, to knock out as many lawns as possible? Number one. Okay? And then number two, they don’t wanna be there
All day and they don’t care
That much, okay? They want to make it look good enough. Keep HOA off your back. Make it look
Like you spend some time out there, all that, okay?
I mean, that’s, that’s exactly
What it is. Tulsa lawn care community.
I, I would not sit here and and tell you these things if it was not true. Uh, we, we
Do want to take pride in our work, but we’re not gonna be out there like we freaking own the go, own the grounds and take our time and cut every time. Little
Thing if we miss a, a thing here or there, I mean, don’t get wrong. We’re gonna look, we’re
Trying to make everything look great and look nice and, and keep
It fancy, but we’re not being meticulous. Okay? No one is. And if you’re like, well, that’s just wrong and that’s part of your job. Yeah, I understand that is, but you’re the homeowner, okay? You’re there all day. You freaking live there. So you can sit there for five hours
And look at Jolan and find something wrong with it,
Okay? Uh, the beautiful thing about, about us is we try to do what you do in five hours, in less than 30 minutes, alright? And most of the time, probably nine, 9% of the time, I’m gonna say we do a pretty dang good job to where it could be days later. And then you’d be like, oh, hey, but oh, wait a minute, days later, that could just be new growth. So, Tulsa lawn care community, do not fret, do not worry kicking grass to take names. Long care home of the $5 first Mow is here for you. We are gonna be out there to, uh, mow as it grows, okay? Uh, we’re gonna making sure you guys look good. We’re gonna make sure you guys are feeling fancy, feeling frisky, uh, feeling nice. Uh, we’re not gonna sit here and worry, uh, uh, that we’re missing things and stuff like that.
’cause we’re, is this not gonna happen? We’re gonna be looking good for you guys. Um, so coming into the fall season now, leaves are, are gonna start changing and falling and all that stuff. Uh, now we gotta have the idea to protect the lawn. Okay? Let’s get that lawn protected. Let’s get that lawn taken care of. Uh, let’s get that lawn, you know, looked after. We do not want to spend all this time and effort on the lawn only to lose it here come following winter. That’s just not how we want to do things. So call us (918) 872-0038. Let us know how we can help you. Let us know when we can help you. And, uh, yeah, let’s take care of those leaves. Let’s take care of that lawn. Let’s take care of, uh, our home. Uh, they are our single greatest investment and we wanna make sure we take pride in it, okay? Because if everyone takes a little bit of pride in their houses, uh, that just makes the neighborhood that much better, okay? And, uh, when the neighborhood’s better, neighbors are nicer, neighbors are happy, everyone’s getting along, it’s wonderful. Okay? So call us, uh, email us, text us. Text is always the best way, uh, simple, easy, and direct. Uh, and it pops up right on the phone. They say. So anyway, we’ll see you out there. Green Country.
