Good morning, Tulsa Lawn care community. Kevin here with kicking grass and taking names. Long hair home of the $5 first Mo. How y’all doing out there in green Country? I hope you guys are having a great day, wonderful day. I hope you guys are enjoying that weather. Checking it out being all fine. Um, we’re here to talk about mowing. That’s right. Mowing. And when I say mowing, I’m talking about cutting the grass with a lawnmower. Um, just wanna say hi to you guys out there. Uh, reason why I’m talking about mowing is because mowing is still important. Dude, it’s October. What are you talking about? What am I talking about? Uh, I’m talking about mowing your lawn. That’s right folks. Uh, your grass still needs to get cut. You still need to keep it looking clean and sharp and crispy. You don’t want to sit here and uh, just let it go cuz all sorts of things that happen, you kind of basically have to be at the right height, so to speak.
You know, you want to kind of be at the, at the perfect little angle area. Um, maybe just, uh, not too tall, not too short. Um, you know, some people wanna wait and scalp their lawn in the spring, which is fine, don’t get me wrong. That’s great. That’s wonderful. Um, some people want to scalp their lawn now and that’s fine. That’s cool too. Uh, it really kinda depends on your lawn, really. Kind depends on your drainage, how much your lawn holds, water, and, you know, all sorts of things like that. So, uh, there’s a lot of factors. One can consider when, when they want to scalp their lawn, uh, when they want to keep it short. Things like that going into winter. It’s not that big a deal. Bad a deal to, uh, scalp. Your lawn depends how thick and, and healthy unless it was in the first place.
Um, if your lawn is kind of thin, frail and, uh, blowing away at the wind, so to speak, uh, you know, you may want to keep it a little long going in the winter, you know. Uh, and don’t get me wrong, when I say long, I’m not talking allow, you know, six inches a foot long here. I’m talking about a nice height of like maybe four. Uh, also depends on, uh, you know, what do you, what are you growing in your, in your grass? Are you growing Bermuda? Are you going, uh, a fe you know, just kind of really depends. Um, Bermuda, uh, you can cut down pretty short. Uh, depends on the, uh, level of your grass. Um, and then fe you know, you don’t want to cut down any shorter, uh, four, four and a half inch, especially going into fall and winter.
You know, you wanna keep that long and lush as possible. Uh, so Tulsa lawn care community, uh, it is still mowing season, especially here in Oklahoma. Um, we want to take care of our lawns, uh, all year long. It’s not just a a summer thing. And, and you know, that’s the other thing you guys gotta realize. You know, I know you guys get, uh, particular about your lawns, but look at those neighbors who don’t do anything and their grass still grows and it’s still green and it still does everything, uh, that your lawn does. Your lawn will obviously look significantly better, but their lawn is there just the same as yours. Still growing, still, still everything. Uh, Tulsa Lawn care community, you want to make sure and, uh, have the professionals come out because why? Cuz we have gear for cold weather. Our mowers are gonna run all year long.
We’re gonna check ’em out. We’re gonna get keep ’em in good working order. Uh, we want you guys to know that we’re gonna take care of things for you. And it’s nothing that you have to deal with. Uh, especially when you go in the fall. A lot of, a lot of things start picking up. You know, there’s a lot of events, a lot of social gatherings. Um, there’s all those things, uh, that start taking up your time. Uh, and you wanna be with your loved ones and things like that. And all we’re offering, offering here is, uh, you know, getting your weekend back, you know, uh, I know how, how it is. Uh, I remember growing up, uh, I’m on my lawn, uh, just getting out there Saturday morning, getting after it, realizing I needed this, realizing I needed that. You know, it just, it was one thing after another.
And what should take 30, 40 minutes to do, man, I, I spend most of the Saturday morning doing and, uh, kicking grass and taking names. Lawn care home of the $5 first. Mow, we wanna be the ones to bring back your weekend. Uh, you know, make sure that, you know, you’ve already done your work for the week. Um, there’s no reason why you should have to spend half your half your weekend, quarter of your weekend, uh, try to mole on. That’s, uh, the size of a stamp, you know, uh, just so you can make the cares of your HOA happy. Just so you know. Um, it’s, it’s just not that, uh, it’s not that important for you. Um, there’s other things you could be doing, uh, things that you find more valuable and, uh, more interesting than, uh, sitting there mow law and chasing down parts.
You know, and that’s the other thing, you know, mowers are changing ’em every year. Uh, so something happens to your mower. You go to find that part. Uh, you have to figure out the brand, the type, the this, the, that, the engine with it, you know, all sorts of 20 million different, um, scenarios. Uh, and then you gotta go find it out of parts where you try to go find the part where you bought it. You don’t carry that specialty thing. And so you have to go somewhere else and somewhere else. And like I said, you end up driving around going to 10 different stores doing all sorts of crazy things. And right now we’re in that dust bowl season of mowing, and there’s no reason for you to be covered in dirt and dust, uh, for what should have been a 30 minute project that turned into a 2, 3, 4 hour project. Uh, it’s just crazy how, um, busy and hectic our lives get. Uh, especially when the
Fall, fall seasoning comes around. A lot of things to do. Uh, one thing you guys will not need to do is take care of that lawn. That’s what we’re here for. We’re here to ease up those, uh, honey do lists. We can take care of the lawn, we can take care of the shrubs. We can take care of it all for you. Uh, really, really just out there and enjoying everything that you got. Um, and that’s all you really can do, guys. Uh, enjoy that house. Enjoy the home. Uh, make it look the best that you can. Uh, we want you guys to know that we’re gonna do what we can for you, take care of it, provide, uh, all those services so you guys can relax and not have to stress or anything.
Um, you know, and that’s it. Uh, one of the main things we, we really wanna do is take that grass off your plate. Uh, we wanna make sure you guys are happy and taken care of and know that that’s what we’re here to do. Um, short lawn going into winter keeps way. Uh, there’s nowhere for bugs to nest into. There’s nowhere for, uh, anything to kind of grab onto or germinate or, or do anything bad to lawn. Any funguses, things like that. Uh, a little bit longer, long going to winter is fine too. Uh, it’s not that those things are gonna happen. Uh, you know, help keep the soil a little bit more, uh, help keep the, uh, the nutrients in. Things like that. The wind won’t blow everything off in away and and stuff. Uh, but again, those are just, uh, you know, extreme measures. If those were things were to happen, um, uh, neither one of those things gonna happen. Um, best scenario though was always a scalp in the spring, kind of started fresh.
Uh, get all that winter junk fun off, um, and just get going. But again, it’s really personal preference, uh, in our experience. It’s not that, uh, anything will be will happen if you do one or the other earlier or later. Uh, it’s just personal preference. Uh, not too bad, not too shabby.
