Good morning, Tulsa Lawn care community. Kevin here with kicking Grass and taking names. Lawn Care home with a $5 First Mow. Folks, how we doing out there today? I hope we’re enjoying our beautiful green country. Saturday morning. We are, uh, experiencing some lovely white weather, uh, which we have experienced for extremely long amount of time making extremely difficult to mow. And I say that because, yeah, it’s been raining a lot here and it needs to quit. It needs to absorb into the ground. It needs to grow that grass so we can make that cash. Um, some of us wanna mow, some of us want to get things done, and Mother nature right now is like, nah, y’all take the day off. I mean, the week, I mean the summer so far, uh, it’s been horrible. Um, we have things scheduled. It’s, it’s just, it’s just not going grand.
Uh, you know, in this line of business, one must really address its ability to adjust on the fly and schedule things out properly. And what I mean that by that is you just gotta be really flexible and really creative and start talking and communicating excessively with your clients, uh, so they can get what they need and want, and understand that you’re there for them and that you will take care of them. Um, some clients have lawns that grow really thick and short, and man, it’s, it’s a bugger to get through. And then some clients don’t have very much grass. It’s thin and it can grow for a while, and you need to know which ones that do that. So you can kinda navigate your world and stuff, because I know some clients are like, oh, no matter what, I need you to come on my lawn and da da da, da da.
Which is fine, and I get that. I do. Uh, but you also kind of need to realize the type of grass that you have. Tulsa lawn care community, uh, knowing that we have different types of grass, knowing that we have different types of, uh, growth with said grass, uh, could be a wildly huge help. Knowing your client’s yards, knowing which ones that you can go mow during the rain and which ones you’re like, oh, no, I mentioned the word rain. That one can’t even be touched for like the next three weeks. You know, things like that. Uh, it’s not a big deal. Um, lawns do cut kind of hairy and outta control at times, but we can usually bring them back in pretty quick. Knowing properties and how they handle water can be very valuable in the ability to continue to mow them, uh, when there’s bad weather and stuff like that. Also, having multiple push mowers and two to three man crew is critical during those times. Uh, some of those lawns can really, uh, you can really get away with, uh, push mowing. You know, you come out, you guys knock it out. Maybe it takes you an extra 10 minutes overall, but you’ve got the client mode, it looks
Great and everyone’s happy. Tulsa lawn care community being, uh, flexible, having the ability to adapt to the situation is crucial in this business because for the majority of the business, you’re constantly having to figure out different ways of getting the same thing done for the client on in the same way, on the same days. Uh, and what I mean by that is, you know, some people are like, no, it needs to be demo on Friday. You know, I, I’ll pay you extra, blah, blah, blah. Make sure it always happens. And you know, like, I want mode no matter what. Rains, shine, I don’t care. Make it look good. And I mean, no wrong, there’s probably gonna be times that you’re absolutely not gonna be able to do it. But most time, if you’re creative enough, if you’re smart enough, if you’re, if you’re uh, got a deep enough fleet, you’re gonna have the, the machine needed to get the job done in a, uh, respectable, timely manner.
Uh, a reason why I say that is obviously, you know, you’re not gonna take a couple 21 inch mowers, go out there and try to start mowing, you know, two acres that would be absolutely ridiculous. And just gonna have to tell the guy, sorry, you have a lot of land. You understand that you’re going, we’re gonna have to, uh, wait on that until we can actually bring out the big mowers and get it done in an efficient manner. Now, having a 48 inch mower and mowing a city lot versus having three push mowers coming out and mowing a city lot, there’s really gonna be no difference other than like maybe five or 10 minutes. Uh, you know, you, you, you figure out the secrets. It’s, everyone does the exact same job until it’s done. Uh, nobody goes, you know, nobody stops doing it until, until that job is done.
Uh, it makes it super easy, super clean, uh, and almost just as fast. Uh, we’ll be looking good, we’ll be looking sharp. Clients won’t have HOAs in their back, and you guys will have everything you’ll need to have to make a good looking lawn and keep a happy client. Of course, you do have to pay attention to whether or not, uh, they have puddles or, or things like that. And even, you know, there are rare occasions where they may have flooding in their backyard, but yet it’s not muddy. Uh, it’s not soft. It’s a different type of, uh, whatever. And it’s just water sitting there. So it’s crazy. It does happen, happened to us just the other day. Um, I told, uh, the crew to stay away from the area. I come back, they had mowed it all, but yet there was no streaks, no nothing.
It looked great. Um, I mean, it looked like we had mowed and then it rained. It was, it was great. It was a very lucky, lucky break in our part. Uh, you don’t want to typically let that happen. No Tulsa lawn care community. We wanna make sure, uh, our lawns are looking good, rain or shine. Uh, we are gonna come out and try to take care of you guys as long as it’s not pouring down. Uh, and as long as you’re okay with that and have a, and have a real understanding. Um, if you don’t understand these types of things and you’re, you think your lawn is the most precious thing and, and, and wonderful thing in the entire world, and then, you know, that’s, that’s fine too. But you’re also understanding that you’re gonna have to wait. ’cause one, you’re not a company’s only client.
There are other clients out there and there are other people out there that have better understandings than you. If you’re gonna be sitting there whining and complaining about how, oh, no, no, no. Now’s the perfect day for my lawn to get mowed. So this is when my lawn happens. Well, you better be paying a lot extra money for think for an attitude like that. Um, and if your attitude is, well, I’m just gonna go find someone else that’ll do it, da da da da, awesome. That means that guy didn’t have any customers anyway. Who, who’s able to come out and, and accommodate you like that? Uh, so that means he’s probably not as seasoned, probably not his experienced, and he’ll probably jack up your lawn, uh, pretty darn quick. So that is up to you. That is your dilemma, that we know what we’re doing, we’re good at it.
Uh, we do have, uh, clients for multiple, multiple years, uh, that are extremely happy with us, and we hope to continue that, uh, with you guys as well. Um, knowing, uh, how lawns can be, uh, deceiving. We do usually walk all the lawns prior to mowing them just because, you know, it’s always, it’s always different. You know, Hey, we know this lawn, we know it holds water here or something over here, blah, blah, blah, blah. The next thing we know we’re finding ourselves stuck in a new spot, and we’re just gonna have to try and, and, and figure out something else. So knowing that we have lawns with, with different personalities per se, uh, holding lots of water, we always wanna make sure that we check the, the properties out and stuff like that. Um, sometimes they surprise us lawns that we, we believe and perceive to not be mobile.
We end up showing up. They’re, they’re good to go. Um, sometimes new builds are very questionable. They’re either gonna be rock solid and, and it’s gonna have to like literally flood the area in order for it to soften the ground. Or some of ’em are like so super soft that all you gotta do is just wink at it and it starts to get soggy. Alright folks, Tulsa lawn care community, we want to come out and mow the yards for you. We’re gonna sit there and make sure we have some nice looking yards. Um, we do use push mowers only when necessary. Uh, bagging is not something we were into. Um, that’s why we wanna do weekly bowing, uh, because then you just got small amounts of clippings going right back into the yard, break it down quick and efficient, and acting out as fertilizer does great, does wonderful.
You’ll have a great looking yard, you’ll be happy. And, and it’s, it’s super simple. Um, some people don’t wanna believe that, which is fine. You don’t have to believe it. You can do whatever you want, but then you also have sit there and wonder and scratch your head while your yard looks the way it does and your neighbor’s yard doesn’t. Who’s out there once a week, uh, mowing and things like that, that, um, so that’s fine. And, and you, again, you don’t, don’t have to believe. In fact, I know some of you’re like, no, you’re lying. Doesn’t work. That doesn’t that shouldn’t operate that way. Absolutely right? 100%. There’s no sense in arguing with people like you, uh, believe what you want, uh, have it, but I mean, you gotta realize you have your one small perception of your yard and your world. We do over a hundred plus yards a week.
So we, we see the difference. We know what goes on. We, we understand it. I understand you think your yard is the unique special, no one else is like it. Oh my gosh, you don’t understand Mr. Mower guy. You’re absolutely right. I don’t, okay? Because in my world, I see what the reality is. Regardless of what you may have looked up, what some other buddy of yours might have said, who takes care of his lawn 24 7 and, and tells you that this is what he’s supposed to do. Tulsa Lawn Care community, I’m telling you now, if you’re gonna argue with us, you are absolutely right. Whatever it is you want, you bet right way to do it. We won’t be the ones coming back to take care of your lawn for you. But whatever you guys want, by all means have at it. Um, we experience too many clients that are open to being taught.
Uh, we under, we experience too many clients that know, Hey, you know what? You’re the one that does this for a living. So whatever you recommend, awesome. They’re the ones that have the best looking arts because we’re the ones that do it for a living. And we’re the ones that make sure that they have the best looking yards. It’s as simple as that. It’s amazing how it works. So, and they’re the, they’re not the ones that sit there and ask me a million questions at the end of, well, why is this, why is that? They just trust the process. And it’s something a lot, a lot of other customers need to learn and do. Okay? Again, you could spend 24 7 doing something in your lawn every single day, by all means, just like your neighbor does, who has the perfect green grass lawn? Sweet. But you will be in your yard every day doing something for at least an hour plus. You need to understand that, okay? And if that’s what you wanna do, by all means, great. That is for you. Uh, we’re for the people who want a great looking yard and minimal involvement. All right? The most of their involvement needs to be calling, kicking grass and taking names.
