Good morning, Tulsa Lawn Care community. This is Kevin here with Kicking Grass and taking names. Long Care Home of the $5 First Mow folks, how we doing today? I hope we are doing great. Wonderful. And just absolutely fantastic. We are enjoying a more, um, traditionally tempered Friday out here in, uh, beautiful green country, uh, with a high in the thirties, 20 eights, you know, whatever it is. Uh, so it’s nice, cool and crisp just like it should be. Um, wind is blowing, leaves are falling. We’re getting ready to install mulch and ready, uh, to do some more leaf pickups. Uh, all sorts of things. Prepping those yards for, uh, springtime, uh, getting ’em ready, getting ’em out there, getting ’em, uh, ready to roar and roll and just having some nice good looking lawns that we can be proud of, that we can love and adore and just be an absolute beast about.
Um, so things we want to start to consider here in the next few weeks. All right. Uh, pre-em, emergence. We wanna start getting those down, either granular or liquid. Uh, we want to get down some bug repellents. Okay? Uh, typically they, they suggest you only have to do that once a year. Uh, me on a personal note, I like to do it twice. Okay? Um, do it now. Kind of get it all laid in the, in the works. Get it, uh, a nice good foundation with it. And then, uh, again, like in June, hit it again. That way you can finish out that you’re strong. Okay? Um, other things we need to start considering, uh, scalps. Alright, time, time for these scalping and, uh, bagging. Yes. Uh, we definitely want to get those done and in. Alright. Get those y uh, get all that winter yuck off.
Okay. Um, what else do we have out there going on? Um, we really, really, really want to consider having all sorts of different, um, trimmings done. You know, we got crepe, myrtles, ornamental grasses, uh, maybe we just have some, uh, Roca, Roca, uh, what are those? Uh, monkey grass. I think it’s what it’s sometimes called. But, you know, Tulsa Lawn care community, it, I mean there’s just a lot to get done. Alright, now sports are starting to pick up with the family. Um, events are starting to pick up outside, uh, companies are starting to get a little bit busier. Um, we’re entering the, uh, you know, vacations are getting ready to start up. People want to go on vacations. We’re getting ready to start, uh, getting the tax season, uh, underway as far as getting those refunds back. So people are gonna wanna start spending that money.
Alright? Um, getting things trimmed up looked at, nice looking, okay. So things to consider folks. Alright. You know, if you wait too long, then we can’t schedule you. If you think, oh, you can just fit it in ’cause it only takes five minutes. You’re somebody who’s never done yard work before and that’s just how it’s so Tulsa Lawn care community plan ahead. Just like anything else you do in your life, plan ahead for it. Schedule it. Find a company that you can be happy with. If you’re calling in someone else to come in and perform a task, then you’re talking, they want premium dollar because they know, Hey man, this is a new area that I’m going into.
I have no reason to come here except for you, so I’m gonna have to charge you high dollar. Grab that guy next door, he’s already there. You look at the yard every day and you’re like, oh, hey, that the yard looks great. Now you know why? And your yard can look just like that as long as you understand patience, as long as you understand, oh, it takes time to get there because you know what, you haven’t taken care of your yard. So it looks like crap. Tulsa lawn care community. Um, understanding that, you know, yard work is, is kind of like, you know, building a team. Uh, when you’re the new coach, you come in, you gotta put up with the old coaches, uh, bad habits and, uh, expectations that he left with the players and things like that. You gotta kind worm out, weed out the bad ones and get in the ones that buy into your culture and idea and stuff.
Same thing as a, as a lawn care guy, okay? Uh, we come in, we gotta put up with all the, uh, debris and stuff like that from the previous, uh, lack of attention. And then we’ve got to, uh, you know, start weeding things out, cleaning it up, getting in the right types of plants that’ll grow in the right type of area that’ll take care of each other, that will, uh, make sure other things don’t grow and get it all cleaned out. Then when, then all of a sudden you see the results, all of a sudden one day you’re like, oh man, I am just so nice, lucky. So it is just wonderful and beautiful and we want to look good and great and wonderful. And that exactly what it does when you give us the time and when you give us the, uh, free range to let you show how it’s done. Alright? Most people want a nice looking yard, they just don’t want to put up with it, okay?
