Good morning, Tulsa Lawn care community. Kevin here with kicking grass and taking names. Lawn Care home of the $5 First Mow folks, how we doing out there? Doing this beautiful, uh, meteorological fall day. Still a little bit of summer, um, September day. So folks, uh, let’s talk about some mowing stuff. What do you say? I know you’re so excited. You’re like, wow, kicking grass is gonna talk about mowing. Yeah, that’s what we do. We mow uh, it’s that time of year now to start freshening everything up. Uh, get the flower beds ready for, uh, winter. Get your stuff all tucked in. Um, get those, uh, hedges trimmed up one last time. That way they’ll ride out the fall and winter and, and all that stuff. Be nice and trimmed and ready to go. You don’t have to worry about too much growth. You know, that’s one, one good thing about hedges.
You know, you don’t, you don’t have to trim ’em all the time, but, you know, maybe once, twice a year, just kind of depending on the kind you have. Don’t get me wrong. There are some, uh, hedges that are needed at least once a month. Uh, otherwise they’ll grow crazily out of control, uh, and get super big. Uh, which, you know, if you’re on a busy street, hey, why not? Why not have huge, huge hedges, uh, to help kind of cover up the house and some privacy and, you know, a little, uh, defense against the elements, so to speak, uh, without being intrusive with a giant fence, you just have this giant wall of green ship. So, uh, yeah, that’s, that’s it. Yeah. Green ship. I said green ship. It’s a wonderful thing. So, Tulsa, long care community. Um, let’s, let’s think. What, what is mowing?
Mowing? It’s a task. It’s daily. Um, you either love it or hate it. There’s really none inbetweens. Um, and, and if you hate it and the price is right, you’re definitely gonna find someone else to take care of it, and you’re still gonna hate it. And you could care less on your lawn, which is fine, and that’s wonderful. Uh, but, you know, understand the Tulsa Lawn care reason why you hate it. Understand the reason why you dislike doing it a lot. Uh, understand, uh, that even though you may hire people who like to do it and enjoy doing it, they still wanna be paid a fair, good amount. So just keep that in mind, uh, and, and be willing to, to sell a little bit of money. Uh, ’cause like anything else, all, all the price is gonna do is keep going up. Uh, more and more people get into the industry and then learn where everyone’s at and just be at those prices to start with.
So enjoying the, uh, cheaper price days of, of old are no more. So, especially after people do it for, for five or 10 minutes, they really are like, oh, dear, gosh, what am I charging? They really want to charge right back into the, uh, to the gist of it. So anyway, Tulsa Law and Care community, congrats to taking names. Lawn care, we, we do enjoy our, our mowing. We do enjoy coming out, making your lawn look great. Um, we really do. Uh, and this time of year though, it is starting to slow down. Uh, if you’re weekly, you might start thinking about going biweekly. Uh, your lawns just aren’t needing the type of stuff. Uh, if you’ve got, uh, now’s also a great time to do, uh, aerations. If you wanna do aerations, it’d be a really good time to schedule that. Uh, get those lawns breathing.
Again, especially, it’s been a few years since you’ve had aerations or if you’re a brand new build. Uh, if you’re a brand new build, you really wanna do the aerations because you had a lot of heavy equipment that you don’t know about running all over your Tulsa Lawn care property. Uh, whether it was before your Tulsa Lawn care property was even, uh, had the foundation and all that built on it and stuff like that. They may have been running bulldozers over it to build other properties or, or shape things or whatever. But you’ve had a lot of heavy equipment compacting that soil. Uh, so it’s really, really compacted and needs to be broke up and, and breathe and, and all that stuff. Uh, two types of variations, as we’ve mentioned before, liquid and core. Um, I do recommend the core just because you, you, you’re actually getting into that soil and tearing it up and stuff like that.
Now, I know liquid, liquid, uh, does the same thing, but just, you know, there’s a reason why correlation’s still around. I understand there’s new technology and all these wonderful things. I’m not knocking. I’m sure it’s great, it’s wonderful. But, uh, if it was really that far and fast superior, uh, it would’ve tooken over the industry, and there would not be a single thing of core correlation left. But there’s still people who understand and like correlation and feel it’s a better, uh, route. Uh, it’s kinda like the pen and paper. You know, computers came around, but if pen and paper were that less superior than computers, we wouldn’t have pen and paper anymore at all. So we’ve gotta understand the value in, in way things were done are done, and how are they done? So there’s, there’s no, there’s no loss in, in understanding and doing things an old way.
It’s, it’s hard to improve on the tire pressure gauge. Uh, for example, when it’s, it is what it is, there’s just not really a better way to improve it. Oh, you can make it digital. Okay? You still need a battery. How often do you use it though? You know, you just, you want that thing just to work when you need it to work, whether it’s, you use it once every five years or once every two years, whatever it is, you just need it to work. You don’t have to go and have to hunt down a battery and do this and do that. So sometimes it’s simple as Tulsa Lawn care better. So, and anyway, uh, let’s bring it back to mowing. We, uh, reason why we also like to use, uh, big giant mowers, they help turn the ground up. You mean turn my grass up? Okay, you said tear. I said turn, um, perspective. I, I know my mower going over your property is gonna help bring life to it, so to speak. Simply by just
Adding some, some tearing up of the dirt. You’ve, you’ve gotta till the soil in order to, uh, help things grow. You can’t just always have it compacted and stuff. So even if you use those little push mowers, you’re still gonna tear your soil up just a little bit, uh, but not very well. Um, and so after a while, you’ll still have to get something out there to kind of tear it up and, and wake that soil up and get it going. So, Tulsa lawn care community, uh, always think about having a professional come out. Uh, especially if you don’t like to, to mow, and it’s not one of your favorite things to do in the entire world. Uh, we’re, we’re more than laughing more than happy, and to come out and fix you up and get you going and make you look good, okay? So don’t be afraid to call.
Don’t be afraid to, to find out, to look into to whatever. Um, don’t be afraid to get your Christmas lights through us. Uh, you, you already know if you’re our customers that we’re gonna show up, we’re reliable, we’re gonna be there. Um, nothing better than to know that you’re on Christmas. Lights will be taken care of the exact same way, uh, once, uh, if you let us put ’em up and store ’em for you all year long. We take care of everything for you. However you guys want to do it, whenever you guys want to do it, uh, just let us know and we’ll get it done. Um, so many times folks have, uh, gone out there and tried to put up Christmas lights and they kind of get frustrated and they get half of ’em up and, and whatever, and they just leave ’em half hanging down or just don’t finish putting ’em up, but rip ’em all back down.
Uh, let’s not do that. Let’s, uh, let’s go. And we’ve already worked hard on that lawn all season. Uh, let’s show it off. Uh, come winter time with some glowing lights and making it look good. So Tulsa lawn care community, um, Christmas lights. It’s what we do. It’s what we do for you. So, uh, let’s talk about mowing again. Mowing, uh, you know, can go pretty, pretty late into the season with, uh, Oklahoma. You never know. You get some warm days, some sun, some water, and boom, there you go. Grass starts growing. Uh, especially if you got some that, some of that, uh, what they call Johnson or, uh, crab grass. Okay? Uh, that stuff does not need much as far as water and sun is concerned. And it will take off like crazy. Uh, big, thick, beautiful blades, uh, kind of stinky, holds a lot of water.
Uh, anyway, that’s what they are. Uh, clogs up machines real easily. Kind of frustrating, but it is what it is. So let us know, uh, how, how often we can help mow for you, uh, leave seasons coming up. We need to, uh, get ready for leaves, get you guys, uh, get those because you’re not gonna sit here and pay somebody all summer long to, to take care of manicure your lawn, only to let leaves sit on it and kill all the grass, okay? Uh, you want to make sure that your grass is, uh, gonna be there for you, come next year. Oh no, it’s just leaves, whatever. Well, it’s a blanket Tulsa lawn
Care community. Uh, those leaves are gonna cover up, block any sunlight, any water, any wind, anything, any of the nutrients that it’s gonna need in order to grow. It’s gonna block it all. And, uh, you’re not gonna have any grass. You don’t have nothing but dirt. And, uh, then it’ll be really hard to grow and come back and fight back and all that stuff. ’cause uh, once it’s gone, it’s gone. And you’ll have to plant seed and, and, and stuff like that. Uh, so folks, uh, taking care of your lawn even during the winter does take some, uh, some time, some scheduling, okay? Uh, let us know how we can schedule you and help you out and get you guys taken care of this coming winter. Um, we again, did not come out there and take care of manicure that lawn all season. Make it look good for you to enjoy, only for it to be disrupted by the lead follows of these leaves of fall.
Okay? This is not what we’re into. Um, so don’t let the, uh, taking care of the yard stop now. Keep it going. Uh, make sure we, we get that lawn looking nice all season long, keeping it healthy. Uh, that’s another thing. Uh, army worms are out. Um, let’s get ’em sprayed, get them away. Uh, otherwise you don’t have a yard and you’ll have to literally recede and, and, and pretty expensive to get it to fight back. So, uh, understand that, understand that we are going to, uh, keep out there working for you guys and making everything look good. Okay? We’ll keep those leaves off. We’ll, we’ll fight everything off for you. We’ll keep it looking good. Uh, you guys will have one of the best looking lawns out there, uh, as long as we’re taking care of it for you. So let us know how we can help. www.kickinggrasstulsa.com, 9 1 8 8 7 2 0 0 3 8. Uh, holler ATAs, Texas, whatever it is that you want, and we’ll make it look great for you.
