Good morning, Tulsa lawn care community. Kevin here with kicking grass and taking names. Lawn Care home of the $5 first. Mow. How we doing out there, folks? I hope we’re doing great. I hope we’re doing wonderful. I hope we’re enjoying our lawns. Uh, why? Because I take care of lawns and I want you to enjoy it. I enjoy mowing the lawns. I enjoy making those lawns look great. And, uh, I hope you guys enjoy that. The work that we do for you. You know, um, ways long. Look when we’re done, what, what, what Waze, the Waze, the lawn looks when we are done. Uh, how do you want your lawn to look when, when you’re done mowing it? Do you want it to look like a, uh, pinstriped suit or do you want it to look like a, uh, velvet carpet? You know, and it kind of depends on the type of grass and, and things like that, you know.
But for the most part, you know, when you, uh, depending on the type of mowers that you use and stuff like that, when you get those little push mowers, you end up with those pin stripes. And, you know, some people like those pin stripes, which is, which is fine and dandy. I, I’m I, and if you are wonderful, I, me personally, I do not like my lawn looking like a pin striped suit. Uh, I like it looking nice, flat and flush. Um, so I do prefer the bigger mowers on there. Um, and when I say bigger, I mean bigger, bigger. ’cause that way the weight’s more evenly distributed and not pushed down in one, in one small area. ’cause it’s a, it’s a fine, uh, it’s a very fine, how you say, science, art, you know, to, uh, the, the right mower and right, uh, type of stuff, you know, uh, even those little push mowers sometimes, you know, you, they’re all gonna be on the same type of wheel, you know.
And, uh, even them, they can, uh, uh, be different in weight. Most of ’em are gonna be about 20 or 30 pounds, but then you just start to get some more of those big powerful engines on those push mowers, and you’re really gonna start, uh, putting some weight on it and they’re gonna really press it down into the lawn just as if they were a, a zero turn. So, you know, it’s all prospectively speaking. So again, it depends what you like. ’cause like, if you don’t like any lines at all, you know, really what you want to use is the real mowers. Uh, they, they leave little to no trace of, of wheels or lines on your, uh, on your property other than just what you have left with the actual mowing stripes. So that is always a good option as well. It’s, it’s more expensive option.
’cause you know, those mowers don’t get very big. And if you got a big property, it’s gonna take a while to do it. Uh, but personally, uh, on a personal note, which, what else would it be? Uh, Tulsa lawn care community is the, the big zero turns. Okay? Uh, I, I love the way they look. I love the, the, the flatness that they give, the, the, the spread, the, the everything they’ve got. They leave those. And the stripes, I like the much bigger stripes. I’m not, you know, that’s obvious. That’s an obvious win right there for me. Uh, the nice big giant stripes, uh, you gotta love ’em. They, they just, they have a certain curb appeal to them. If you ask me much, much more, uh, professional looking, I think, than the pins, stripes. Uh, again, not knocking the pinstripes, it’s just, it’s just not my cup of tea.
Uh, if you know you’re my customer and you’re like, you want to push, that’s fine. It’s wonderful. We got you. Uh, we’ll find somebody else to come out there and do that for you. ’cause <laugh>, we don’t really like to push too much here. Um, you know, and when we do find the clients that are like, no, we want you to push the mowers. And we’re like, okay, well then we want you to pay for it. Uh, ’cause that’s kind of how it works. Uh, time is money. And the rain reason why we use these zero turns is to be quick and efficient. Uh, now, if you don’t mind us being out there for about two hours on your property, trying to mow it all, bag it or whatever it’s that you need, then that’s wonderful. Fine. But you know, there is a price to that.
Uh, we do have, uh, a lot going on. Uh, you know, and, and so we just accommodated by just the, the price, uh, plain and simple, you know, uh, we, we wanna be paid for the time that we’re out there. We want to make sure we make a good, good enough money. Um, and so yeah, that’s, uh, that’s it. Are you just gonna, okay, so are kicking grass and taking names, lawn care, uh, community. We hope you guys are doing wonderful out there today and enjoying the stripes that we leave you. Um, okay. Uh, Tulsa lawn care community. Do not be afraid to, uh, request the type of lawn that you want. Uh, do not be afraid to request the type of cut that you want. Uh, ’cause if you don’t, you’ll never get it. Uh, we, we are not mine readers. We are people who know what lawns need and will proceed accordingly.
Uh, now if you have a preference of something different, that’s a, that’s, we don’t know that. Uh, we do know how a lawn should be cut as far as a professional, uh, lawn maintenance crew goes. We do not know how the lawn should be cut per your recommendations. Uh, a lot of time homeowners believe their recommendations is what’s best for the lawn when it’s really not. But at the same time, it’s your lawn. So whatever you want. Uh, some things that we just won’t do at all, because we already know from experience that it’ll just not work out is short lawns. Uh, majority of lawns do not have or are not designed to be extremely short cut, extremely short. Uh, what I mean by that is some people are like, oh, I want to see dirt, blah, blah, blah. Okay, that’s fine. That’s wonderful. Uh, but then if I do that after so many times, you
Won’t have any grass left. That’s what I want. I get that, but then I won’t have a lawn mow. So there’s no point in me doing that. So, one, I don’t need you complaining, oh, you killed my grass because no, that was at your request. And then two, if I’m gonna lose your lawn in a couple weeks, why don’t I go ahead and just walk away? Now there’s no sense in, in beating around the bush. I’m gonna find another customer that would rather have a lawn and have it get mowed on a regular. So Tulsa lawn care community, please understand we’re not mine readers. Uh, we have what we think is best for lawns, and then we have what you guys prefer for lawns. Uh, so most of what we do for lawns is gonna be based off of science and what the recommendations are for the area that we live in.
And what I mean by that is, you know, uh, basically we start out short in the spring and we go long by the time we go to fall. Uh, we do, we do recommend going up in increments, uh, uh, over each month, going up a little bit each month to, uh, to accommodate for growth and, and heat and things like that. We, we do not recommend always cutting short and, and, and just leaving it to the bare minimum. Um, and then also depends on the type of grasses you have. Some grasses need to be cut longer than others and, and things like that. Uh, we’ve had other episodes where we’ve talked about that in, in multiple situations. And Tulsa lawn care community, there are all sorts of grasses that grow here. Uh, majority of the ones you know, are Bermuda and Fescue and, uh, Zoya.
So just understand that there is a spectrum. There is a, a wide variety of different types of grasses and, and different types of, uh, needs and lawns and situations per, per lawn. Okay? Uh, and, and how your grass can grow is typically affected by, you know, sunlight, uh, watering, uh, soil composition, you know, all sorts of different pH balance, you know, all sorts of different things. Uh, so just depending on, on how serious you are about your lawn care will really determine on, on how well we can mow the lawn and how it should be cut and things like that. So, Tulsa lawn care community, uh, do, do not, uh, think that we’re just coming out there and, and doing whatever we want. There is some thought process into it, and we need to evaluate each lawn, uh, each time. And it, and it almost changes from mode to mode too.
It’s not like it’s a, oh, this is what we do every single time, uh, but, you know, there can be some changes. Sometimes there’s some significant growth. Maybe we need to cut a little bit higher if we don’t want to, uh, stress out the lawn, um, and stuff like that. So please understand that we’re looking out for your lawn in our best interest. We wanna make sure that that lawn is a, uh, healthy, happy lawn, and it’s gonna continue to grow and provide you with the needed, uh, resource of what you expect from your lawn. So do not underestimate, uh, your mower guys. Uh, there’s a reason why we do what we do and how we do it, uh, and the equipment that we use to do it. Some, sometimes those bigger mowers, just doing a much better job mulching and crushing up those, uh, those grass clippings and gets it into the lawn a little bit better.
You know, more nutrients free, uh, fertilization and things like that. And again, the pinstripe push mowers, you know, they don’t, uh, they don’t always get everything, you know, mulched up nice and good, and they get clogged up pretty well. So sometimes you have to, uh, you know, disperse those clippings and, and, and do other things like that. Uh, you know, don’t go wrong. They each have their own benefits and stuff. Uh, I just as far as a, uh, commercial run goes, using the zero turns and, and making sure they have all the, uh, needed and different and unique, uh, capabilities that they need to have is a very good and, and nice reason to want to have the zero turn mowers on your lawn. Uh, for the most part, they’re gonna do a, a, you know, there, there are some turnings that they can do and tear up the grass a little bit.
But, um, at the same time, uh, you’re wanting your, your grass to get a little bit tore up, so to speak, uh, because you’re wanting it to, uh, to breathe and, uh, you know, aeration and, and, and dig ins and all sorts of different situations that your lawn has, uh, you know, is, is what causes it to breathe and do other things like that. So, you know, don’t be, uh, don’t be too alarmed. Uh, we’re not trying to, uh, destroy your lawn by any means. We’re just trying to make sure you have a nice, healthy lawn. And, uh, wind, water, and sun is what really promotes a great healthy lawn. So make sure we’re watering, uh, that sun will take care of itself and, uh, you know, wind, whether it’s by the, you know, the wind of the air or just, you know, getting in there and aerating the lawn out some way, shape or form, putting some holes in there, making sure that that oxygen gets down in there to help it breathe is, uh, is crucial too.
