Speaker 1:

Good morning, Tulsa lawn care community. Kevin here with kicking grass at taking names, lawn care home of the $5 first Mo folks. How you doing out there? We wanna talk about, uh, water today, getting ready to head into August about two days out, day out, and we need water. When I say we it’s a lot into that. We, when I say we, I say we, as in the guys that mow the yard. When I say we, I mean, we, as in the lawns, you want a nice, healthy green looking lawn going in August. You’re gonna have to water it. You’re gonna have to feed it. Water is a source of life. Folks, both for man and grass and beast while we’re at it. But we need to make sure we are aware that we need to understand that Tulsa Lawn Care it is important to water. It is not just, you have some guy mow your yard and Ize. Uh, in fact, depending on the type of fertilizer that you use, you may water beforehand and then lay the fertilizer. You may lay the fertilizer and then water. We control all that stuff. Water is a versatile source, versatile tool

Speaker 1:

Accomplish many great things. But most app water helps us grow. Helps, helps us grow that beautiful green grass. So if you don’t want a lawn to mow, don’t water, it it’ll die off. Especially in August in Oklahoma. You gotta love it. Tell Tulsa lawn care community. I know you want grass though. I know you want a lush green grass growing for your feet to be tickled by your dog’s bellies to giggled by. And your kids, kids to roll in grass is great. There is no need to not have it. We want to make sure we water at the right time of day. You think to yourself, what do you mean at the right time of day? Well, what I’m saying is when we water, we want water at the right time of day, going into August. When it’s already 80 degrees at six 30 in the morning, it is not the right time of day to start flooding your water or flooding your yard with water or your, your garden or any of those things. For that matter. It is very important that when you water, you do it the night before. So it has time to absorb into the ground

Speaker 1:

Because basically look it like this. You water your ground out here in the Tulsa lawn care community at 6, 7, 8 in the morning, you have all this water now sitting out there and you have the sun just beaming down on it, heating it up. It’s kinda like a, a pot sitting over a fire. You got all that water there and the heat slowly starting to make it boil. Same concept. Okay. Got all that water. Got that heat going up. You’re just gonna start cooking your grass. You don’t wanna do that. That’s not the reason why you’re watering Tulsa Lawn Care your lawn. So be smart water in the evening. Late evening. I wouldn’t start any earlier than eight or nine o’clock okay. Definitely be done watering by like 3:00 AM. 2:00 AM. Okay. Give yourself a chance. Fight against that retired old guy. That’s around the corner that all he does is sits there. And water is each lawn by hand or each part of his lawn. By hand, don’t be the, the crazy neighbor that overflows their, their, their grass cooks. It turns it yellow. Keep it looking green. Keep it looking great. You won’t have to cut it at four inches trying to save its life.

Speaker 1:

If you got our world famous Oklahoma Bermuda grass, you can keep it at three, keep it short, keep it clean, keep it nice. Keep it trimmed. That’s how we like to have it. We want to keep things looking good. We want to keep things looking like we care about our property. And if we care about our property, we’re definitely gonna make sure we’re cutting that lawn at least every seven days. Now, if you want to be real strict and real good to your lawn, you’d cut it about every five days. But ain’t nobody got time for that. Congrats taking names does though, if you want to cut every five days, we’ll be out there every five days to cut that grass for you just saying, but if you water your lawn proper, take care of it. And by the way, we’re not saying you have to water your lawn every single day. We’re not saying you have to water your lawn. Even like every other day, it can be as, as little as every two days. This so gets a little bit of water, you know, 15, 20 minutes over the whole lawn. It doesn’t have to be three hours.

Speaker 1:

It doesn’t have to be three days. Okay. Just get the lawn wet, get it going, get it moving. All right. Make sure we are watching our lawns watching if we have any low spots. Cause we don’t want it to sit there and pull up. Okay. We need to go in and fill that stuff in and make sure the water keeps moving on. We’re gonna go in and make sure we take care of all lawns. There’s a lot to do to take care of a lawn. And it’s just how much work you wanna put in, but kicking your and taking names will take all that work off your head so you can go do other things. Remember one of our, one of our key factors in our service is providing you with time freedom. So you can go and take care of the things that you want to do and not necessarily spend your Saturday mowing lawn, cuz just like you, everyone’s got something else to do. Everyone’s got something better to do. They don’t wanna go mow a lawn. They don’t wanna sit there and fight and toil with their equipment. They don’t wanna sit there and wonder why their grass is turning yellow.

Speaker 1:

They don’t wanna go and enjoy their weekend. They wanna spend their time doing something else. Folks kicking grass at taking names, lawn care home of the $5. First Mo is here to take care of that for you. Tulsa lawn care community, wanting your lawn is crucial. Timing is crucial. Ed amount is crucial. Overwatering it will just drown it out and cause harm under watering. It will dry it out cause harm. There’s a lot of harm that can be caused by the, uh, proper improper way of watering one’s lawn. So we wanna keep in mind a good 15, 20 minute rule, cover the area with water, move on. Don’t spend too much time. Don’t take too long. Don’t let it get saturated. We just want enough for it to get wet, absorb and grow. It keeps it long strong. It keeps that long lawn strong and healthy. Remember you have the same type of grass that grows on the side of the highway and that grass on the side of the highway is ignored. It’s abused. It is forgotten about and it grows and it looks wild and crazy, but you can get yours looking tamed and nice and clean and all those wonderful things simply by properly watering it.

Speaker 1:

Having a sprinkler system always helps cuz you can set it and forget it. You can set it for the seasons. You can set it for the time of day. You can set it for the time of year. You can do all sorts of things. Okay? Obviously in the wintertime you want to water first thing in the morning, that way heats up. Doesn’t freeze. Cuz if you water overnight and those temperatures go way down. You gonna freeze along, which is bad too. What? Wait a minute. You said the water overnight. I know I said the water overnight during the summer, but during winter water at a different time, you start watering in the morning. Midday, even depending on what time of winter and how cold it’s been getting. And obviously if it gets too cold, you’re not gonna water at all. Cause you’ll freeze your pipes. They’ll BU they’ll they’ll bust. They’re not exactly made of steel. So, but even if they were, they would still bust. Cuz water is a very powerful tool. Like I said before, water likes to uh, expand and show its growth show its ability show its power, it cars, rock it, snaps metal. It does all sorts of fun and crazy things.
